10 Things That You Can Relate To If You Have Working Saturdays

Hallelujah! It’s Friday!

No, wait! We can’t do that, because we are a part of that unfortunate lot, who have to drag their ass to work, even on Saturdays.

If you are someone who feels the pangs of working 9 hours a day on weekdays, try imagining what it would be like to work on Saturday, when most of the people are sleeping, hungover from last night’s wild party.

March on to take a dip into the lives of those poor souls, myself included, who have the misfortune of working on the better part of a weekend.

The Facebook feeds on Friday evenings depress you

TGIF is the worst thing you read, because baby, you ain’t got one.

Your friends’ Friday eve plans don’t involve you

And you can’t go because you have to work on Saturdays.

The good part? You get a place to sit.

The bad one? You know that the rest of your fellow travellers are blissfully asleep in the comfort of their homes.

And everyone is talking about the extended weekend, some have even planned a mini holiday. You? Nope, you gotta work on Saturday, so no extended weekend for you to get excited about.

You stare at your laptop screen for long before you can start the day’s work

And then you give up because the mind just refuses to come out of slumber on Saturdays.

Every time you take a Saturday off, people think you have done a bunk

And your boss never believes that you genuinely fell sick, or that someone died, unless you send her a selfie of yours with fractured limbs, in a hospital.

Travelling long distance to come to work on Saturdays feels like a tortured icing on the bland cake

I spend 4 hours commuting to sit with a blank mind in front of my PC for 4 hours.

You always have to choose

Sleep? Party? Read? Movie? There is just one night of freedom that I have got.

You are almost always sleepy

You are almost always sleepy
You are almost always sleepy

Because just one Sunday and 24 hours aren’t enough to shop, read, watch movies, and sleep too.

The good thing? You are not scared of Mondays

You are technically working on all days; Monday to Saturday in office, and completing all your pending house chores on Sunday.

The week literally goes in a jiffy, and another one starting doesn’t make much of a difference to you. You are the cool cat on Mondays.[td_smart_list_end]

Love it or hate it, those are working Saturdays for you. If you are one amongst those poor souls who labour on weekends or know anyone, tag and share. If you are not, be thankful and share to have a good laugh.
